Art enriches all our lives, but for children suffering from mental illness, abuse or neglect, art can be a window into both the joys and the setbacks that they experience in their young lives. Their art can be incredibly powerful and compelling.

2008 Works of Heart
Family Service & Guidance Center thanks our generous event sponsors as well as the hundreds of supporters who joined us on August 22, 2008 in celebrating our 10 featured child artists and the 10,000 children we serve each year at the 2nd annual Works of Heart Art Event and Auction. Thank you for taking our children into your hearts and helping them unlock their potential. ..because every child deserves a happy childhood"
In addition to our 10 child arrtists, 50 art pieces from children and professional artist from across the country were sold in live and silent auctions. The event was a huge sucess and raised $55,000.
More importantly, our clients had the opportunity to shine, while meeting many community leaders and receiving recognition for their talent.
