Local business makes a van-tastic gift

Hoyt Moore, along with his wife, Laurie, donated a gently used 2015 Ford 12-passenger van to the organization Friday morning. The new van will be used to transport children participating in FSGC’s therapeutic preschool and Youth Development Program (YDP). Hoyt and Laurie are pictured with their daughter, Savannah, and the van.

“We’re so grateful to the Moore family for their generosity,” said Pam Evans, Director of Marketing & Development. “Their donation meets a great need for our kids and the agency. Many of our clients wouldn’t be able to get the services they need if we didn’t provide transportation, and our vans can show a lot of wear and tear. So their tremendous kindness came at a very opportune time.”

FSGC also transports group clients on outings in the community that allow them to learn and practice important social and behavioral skills in a “real-world” setting.

Over 3,300 children and teens receive transportation services in order to participate in group services each year.
