FSGC staff members raise over $8,300

Thousands of children will benefit from the generosity of Family Service & Guidance Center employees, thanks to the 2018 FSGC Internal Fund Drive.

FSGC raised a total of $8,325.40 during the organization’s annual fundraising campaign. Employees making gifts and pledges could earmark their donations for the FSGC Foundation, the FSGC Internal Grant Fund or a combination.

Funds raised are awarded back to innovative programs that directly benefit children living with anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health issues.

Jancy Pettit, Internal Fund Drive coordinator, said, “I’m humbled by the giving spirit shown by our staff members this year. To give so generously shows that they’re invested not only in the kids and families they serve but also in their own colleagues.”

The Internal Fund Drive was a three-week campaign. Employees who made gifts or pledges are entered into weekly drawings for fun, edible prizes from local shops like Hazel Hill Chocolate and Cashmere Popcorn. At the conclusion of the three weeks, all staff members who made a gift or pledge is entered into a final drawing with prizes including tickets to FSGC’s Works of Heart Event, a day off with pay and a reserved parking space for a month.
