Helping children learn valuable skills
Some children and teens aged 6-18 struggle with mental health challenges, as well as important social and behavioral skills. School & Outreach Services (SOS) provide a safe, structured group setting in which children and teens can learn and practice those important skills.
How it Works
Step1 out of 2 steps
Youth Development Program (YDP)
FSGC’s School & Outreach Services (SOS) work in a group format to help children and adolescents learn and practice social and behavioral skills, including:
- Respecting authority and following rules
- Making friends and keeping the friends they have
- Skipping school consistently
- Staying in the classroom, rather than having their school day shortened for behavioral or disciplinary reasons
- Managing anger
- Expressing one’s self appropriately
