FSGC’s Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP) received a $1,885 check from the Joe & Janet Aleshire Venture Grant Friday afternoon, February 27.
Aleshire Grants are awarded each year by Washburn University Leadership Institute students. The grants are an opportunity to learn about philanthropy and civic responsibility.
“The funds will be used to purchase manipulatives – small items like coins, blocks and markers,” Leslie Carr, LSCSW, YDC Team Leader explained. “They’re objects that children can see and handle that help them learn to solve problems and master different cognitive and social skills.”
