“Making a DIfference” honors outstanding FSGC staff members

Family Service & Guidance Center is pleased to honor six staff members with the “Making a Difference” Award for providing top-quality mental health care to northeast Kansas children living with anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health issues.

The 2018 award winners are:

  • Marla Case, Supervisor category
  • Gaylene Cook, Support Staff category
  • Christina Resenbeck, Clinical category
  • Mary Riley, Case Management/Care Coordinator category
  • Andrew Ross, Attendant and Respite Care category
  • Robbie Sanders, Mental Health Specialist category

Deciding the award winners is always very difficult, said Brenda Mills, Family Service & Guidance Center CEO, because any number of staff members could be selected based on their professionalism and dedication to children.

“Each year, a few staff members stand out by providing service that consistently exceeds expectations to our kids and families. The ‘Making a Difference’ Awards are FSGC’s way of honoring those amazing staff members,” Mills said.

Awards are handed out in six staff categories each year. Honorees were nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of FSGC staff members representing all areas of the agency.

Recipients of the award are selected for effectiveness in their work with children, families and co-workers; zeal in promoting the advancement of mental health; and professional interest and involvement.
