Meals for Mental Health raises nearly $23,000

About 400 hungry Topekans attended the 3rd annual Meals for Mental Health on October 20 and helped raise $22,871 to benefit FSGC kids and families.

The annual event was held at Texas Roadhouse. Plenty of steaks, pork chops and grilled chicken salads were enjoyed, and money was raised for a worthy cause.

Pam Evans, FSGC Director of Marketing & Development, said, “Proceeds will benefit thousands of kids across northeast Kansas living with anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health issues. I can’t thank our sponsors enough, and it’s wonderful to see so many supporters who bought lunch tickets and raffle tickets and turned out for the event.”

Evans also thanked Marge Meyer, managing partner of the Texas Roadhouse, and her staff.

“None of this happens without Marge and her incredible staff,” Evans said. “They volunteer their time and work for tips to help our kids. That says a lot about the Texas Roadhouse staff and it means a great deal to all of us at FSGC.”

A date for the 4th annual Meals for Mental Health Event will be set soon. For more information on how you or your business can become a part of this fun (and delicious) event, contact Pam Evans at 785.232.5005 or pevans@fsgctopeka.com.
